Thankful
Just a note to say Thank you Lord! Waking me up this morning, touching me with your love, awoke in my right mind and the blood was running warm in my vain! David said once I was young and now I am old and I've never seen the righteous forsaken or its seed begging for bread (paraphrased).
Thank you Lord for food, shelter, and cell phone. Thank you for the health and strength of my children and grandchildren. Thankful that you've kept them for ALL addictions that would cause their bodies to lose their vibrancy.
Thank you Lord for the job that I have. Thank you for the ability to get wealth. Thank you for my enemies and those that love me. Thank you for expanding my mind, thoughts, and boundaries. Thank you for increasing my ability to dream and dream big! Thank you for the creative power that you give life too!
Thank you for healthcare and prescription coverage. Thank you for the great doctors that my family has.
Thank you for the passion for a new vision of hope and fulfillment of promise. Thank you Lord for the activity of my limbs, eyesight, and mobility. Thank you Lord for keeping me even when I didn't want to be kept. Thank you for helping to realize that I thought I'd only write 3 lines but now I realize that my heart keeps on thanking you because I have so much to be thankful for. Oh, my Lord, thank you for more....

Curls Unleashed -- Organic -- In Review
The search for a "Holy Grail" product is always a quest in progress. Well ladies I've come across a new product line for "naturals" or people with wavy, curly, and kinky textures!
Most hairlistas, will admit to having a "little" product junkism tendency. This is fueled by our desire, our need to find the "perfect product" that we can apply to our tresses without a lot of ado but consistent successful results.
Naturals know all too well, that our tresses can be very tempermental. Also, natural hair can be resistant to our desire no matter how much product is applied and no matter how much coaxing is used.
I decided to try the product since its advertisement stated that it was good for 3c hair types. My hair ranges from 3b to 4 and I prefer a creme-based styler in contrast to a gel. Organic Root Stimulator's Curl's Unleashed Curl Defining Creme product description is as follows:
Curls Unleashed Take Command Curl Defining Creme is ideal for curly and kinky textures. Made with coconut, sweet almond and safflower oils, our curl defining creme moisturizes, defines and elongates tightly coiled curls, and does so without flakes or shrinkage.
Fragrance: A light mango, watermelon fruity smell that doesn't stick around or becomes
annoying.
Consistency: Thick and creamy and smooth.
Packaging: Clean, Contemporary, Eco-Friendly
Price: $12.99 to $17.99 - I purchased mine from Duane Reade for $12.99
Size: 16 ounces
Product Ingredients:
AQUA (WATER), SODIUM C14-16 OLEFIN SULFONATE, SODIUM DISODIUM COCOAMPHODIPROPIONATE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, POLYQUATERNIUM-7, COCAMIDE MEA, GLYCERIN, POLYQUATERNIUM-10, HYDROLYZED KERATIN, YARROW, HOPS, ROSEMARY, CHAMOMILE, LEMON BALM, OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, PPG-5-CETETH-10-PHOSPHATE, DEHYDROACETIC ACID, BENZYL ALCOHOL, DISODIUM EDTA, CITRIC ACID, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), BENZYL BENZOATE, HEXYL CINNAMAL, LILIAL, LYRAL, METHYL IONONE.
HOW I APPLIED THE PRODUCT:
From past product experience, I felt that I should apply the product on wet hair. I used Tresemme Naturals, as my leave-in. The product went on smoothly and my tresses began to clump rather nicely and were well-defined. Within 45 minutes my hair was dry, shiny, and bouncy. I was very impressed. Hair had a soft, flexible hold which I like.
PROS
- Easy to Apply
- Creamy and Thick
- Light, Mango/Watermelon Fragrance
- Good Price Point
- Earth-Friendly Packaging is a Huge Plus
- A Little Goes A Long Way
CONS
- Best Applied on Damp to Wet Hair
- Can Cause Damp Limp Hair if Too Much is Applied
My overall opinion is that Organic Root Stimulator has put out a great natural product line for us natural ladies. The clean, contemporary packaging is attractive and easily accessible for use. Would I purchase again? Yes, this product has moved to first place in my line up! At least until the next upsurper in search of the Holy Grail product.
Happy Curls to You!

Family Is Important
So that led me to believe that it is important to whom I was birthed to. I felt obligated to take an intense look at the parents that took part in bringing me to be. God had so ordained it that these two people had what it took to shape my life into what He wanted me to be.
I have the impatience of my mother and the social skills of my father. I see the familiarity of myself in my siblings and I see the differences in our we've used the characteristics of our parents differently.
With the truth being told, we fuss, dislike, argue, storm out but at the end of the day, we are family and whatever the issue at hand is we are obligated to remain so.
Family is a place that anchors you! No matter how distance separates us we recognize when its time that we must make a commitment to physical get in each other presence. Family cements memories and events. It is a common bond of reality that we share.
Each of us may have a different take on what family is, what it looks like, and who may and may not be included but family consists of those of like nature and thoughts and most of all love.
Family is a reminder that we are not in this journey alone. That there is someone along the journey to encourage, correct, and direct us in love.

What's Your Desire?
There I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. (Mark 11:24 NKJV)
But their prayers don’t get answered because they don’t have anything of faith to them. The Bible says, “Without faith, it is impossible to please Him” (Hebrews 11:6). God hears faith—and His desire is aroused by it. But whining doesn’t even get His attention.
Remember the man in John 5, who had had an infirmity for thirty-eight years, and he was waiting for the troubling of the waters by the pool of Bethesda? Jesus came to him and asked him, very directly, “Do you want to be made well?” (v. 6).
But the man was actually confused about what he really wanted. So he began to complain, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me” (v.7).
Can’t you just hear him whine? He lost sight of the solution and focused on the problem, and the problem about getting the problem taken care of.
The Answer was literally staring him in the face and asking, “What do you want?”
Now consider what happened with two blind men Jesus met as He was passing from the old city of Jericho to the new. It is found in Matthew 20:29-34. These two men cried out to Jesus, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David.” Even when the crowd tried to hush them up, they just cried out louder, “Have mercy on us.”
So Jesus stopped and asked them, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And what do you suppose they answered? Just this: “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” No whining. No complaining. But a simple, faith-filled request. They spoke their desire.
Faithpoint: Whenever you pray, understand the difference between speaking your desire to God and simply complaining. God can do tons with the former and nothing with the latter. Don’t focus on the problem, focus on the answer. Have faith in God’s Word concerning it and believe that you receive what you are believing Him for, then you will see it come to pass.
