    As Father's Day approaches, all things Daddy are at the forefront of our hearts and minds. For a Daddy's Girl, she does not need a reason to celebrate the first love of her life!  He has set the tone for the one who will someday ask for her hand in marriage. For her, Daddy is her hero, does nothing wrong, and says yes even when mom says no.  There are even times she rivals the love of her hero for his chosen companion for life. She brings joy to her father and always has Dad in a protective mode.  For him, she grows up too quickly.  Her choices in life are important to him. Daddy sees the woman that he married in some things that she does.  It reminds him of why he chose his wife to marry.  He is thankful that his wife is who she is and loves him. A Daddy's Girl watches the love that Daddy exudes for her mother helping her to understand that this or a resemblance of this is what she wants for her life. There comes a time, season, day, or awakening that a Woman has to chose a "flow."  A direction.  A place of being.  A point of no Return.  With this she then has chosen to "commit" to something bigger than herself and now it does not matter who is with her, against her, and simply a side-line stalker. All that matters now is her commitment to her purpose and the fact that whether she completes her purpose afraid or confidently, her choice will be to "Just Do It!" In her decision she will find the fulfillment that has long eluded her grasp.  The fulfillment of an God-ordained task that only she could fill because it was, is unique to her.  Just as unique as every strand of hair on her head, her fingerprint, and the sway in her move. FLOW! It is our responsibility to find our flow through life that will enable us to unearth the hidden treasures in us. Father, when creating each of us, has hidden ALL that we need to have and or use in this earth. This requires that we be led by the Holy Spirit to unearth these treasures as we fulfil His purpose in our lives and this will include Divine Connections! Matthew 25: 14-30 can be a basis on which we build. The Master in this Parable has given out talents to his servants according to their individual abilities. Suggesting that the Master knew each of them well enough to do so. Do we trust Father well enough to expect, that what He has given us, what He has charged us with, what He has placed in our hands to complete can be done by each of us to accomplish His will in the earth. I have struggled with trying to get down to a size” good” for the past 10 years.  I have made several attempts at losing weight.  I would always start off good and then by the third day I was headache-y, tired, and frustrated with trying to win the battle of the bulge. My friend is a certified nutrition coach and had been approached by a fellow church member about an approach to losing weight.  Therefore, she called me and we started brainstorming and looking on the internet and came across Diet.bet.com.  Dietbet’s premise is as follows:  someone organizes a diet bet, set’s the amount of the pot ($10 and up), advertises it, people join and for four weeks, the participants are to lose 4% of their body weight in a matter of four weeks. It is Day 7 and I have lost 3 pounds and I need to lose another four to be included in the winner circle.  I see why people attempt the challenge of losing weight to find themselves falling off the wagon (thud!)  ...

Forgiveness by definition: Forgiveness  is the intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, lets go of negative emotions such as vengefulness, with an increased ability to wish the offender well. All of us have been hurt and/or offended by someone at one time or other.  Even someone as close as a parent.   A hurt or offense can be intentional or it could be a simple slight (the offender simply did not think before they spoke or did something). Last Saturday evening I received one of those dreaded, awful telephone calls.  The one that causes the ground beneath you to shudder.  I had talked to my sister earlier in the day.  We talked about the usual nothingness and casual events of our lives.  We laughed and giggled as sisters do.  I am always glad to hear from her. It was late, my husband had gone to bed and I was preparing to do so when my sister called me.  Immediately, I knew something was wrong.  She went on to tell me that my nephew had been on his motorcycle and had ended up in a terrible, life threatening accident.  He had lost control of his motorcycle, while riding with his brother, and ended up veering off the road into someone's yard and not only hit a tree but was thrown off the bike into another tree.  Needless to say, the injuries were severe!  His brother and wife had just moved into the neighborhood and he called out to his wife, who had been a medic and sh...
